Volunteer to Feed the Need
The entire community works together to insure the continued success of Lubbock Meals on Wheels. Your time and talents are greatly needed and appreciated.

Volunteer drivers, both regular and substitute, are needed each day to deliver meals. Some drivers prefer to take the same route on the same day each week whereas others prefer to just substitute on any route when needed. For many recipients the volunteer may be the only person they see everyday and that daily human contact is just as important as the nutritious meal they are receiving. Each route contains approximately 10-12 meals and can be delivered in about an hour. A one hour orientation and a background check is required for all delivery volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please download forms, complete, and bring to the scheduled orientation. Please call our office for orientation dates/times.

Corporate Volunteer Program
Local businesses are encouraged to participate by allowing employees to deliver meals during their lunch hour. This allows employers to be civic minded without excessive loss of staff time. For convenience, the required orientation may be held at your place of business. Approximately 30 businesses are currently involved in this program. Volunteers are also needed for various kitchen duties, washing coolers, building and ground maintenance, and assisting with the pet food program.

Groups and individuals are always needed to help with special projects and activities, as well as fundraising events.
