Mardi Gras - 2012 Save the date Feb 21st

11th Annual Mardi Gras fundraiser was held February 23 rd, 2010 at the Civic Center Exhibit Hall. Lubbock Meals on Wheels' signature event features fare of Lubbock's finest restaurants, live jazz music, a large silent auction, and various performers and activities. This spectacular event includes thirty-eight food booths (with selections from your favorite local restaurants), live jazz music by the Shinn/Turner Dixieland Band, a large silent auction (with items from various local merchants), cash bars, plus a variety of activities and entertainers. A King and Queen in full regal attire and colorful masks and beads are available to make the evening even more festive. Everyone enjoys entertainment such as dancers, clowns, magicians, jugglers and flamboyant decorations in the official colors of purple, green, and gold. The expanded Children’s Area includes bouncers, face and hair painting, and several games and activities to keep the kids entertained. A benefit drawing for a fantastic trip, airline tickets, or sporting event tickets is usually available as well. Be sure to check out the French Market to take home some fabulous treasures such as trendy shirts, fragrances, jewelry, and eyewear.

Event tickets are $30 for adults, $10 for children under 12 and can be purchased in advance at Lubbock Meals on Wheels, any Select-A-Seat location (service charge applies) or for $35 at the door. We accept cash, checks, or credit cards and will be happy to mail tickets or hold them at the door.
